AlhamduliLlah, by the grace and mercy of Allah, in Youth Month we continue developing our youth within the broader framework of Myinc YLDP, This time round we go to the world renowned Lions Head Hike (right) on our doorstep in this beautiful city that we call home. It is however a city of stark contrasts between the haves and have nots and part of our objectives is to mind the gap and do away with engineered disparities of old and new on all fronts.
The primary objective of the hike is to connect our learners/mentees to nature and in doing so connect them to the Creator. If clouds are indicative of rain, footprints of the passing of a person, then certainly nature in its splendour as we behold on this beautiful hike, is indicative of an Originator that brought it from non-existence into existence. Allah.
The secondary objective is to educate our mentees about the importance of nature conservation and how to responsibly interact with nature. To impress upon them that fact that nature is a gift which we have to hand back to our children and future generations. Furthermore, from our religious perspective, the destruction of nature is a removal of one of the greatest proofs of the existence of Allah. In other words, a concrete world would be a world void of Divine Indication.
